The Torcal de Antequera Natural Park, located in the centre of the province of Málaga, above the town of Antequera and in the limestone arc of the Subbéticas, is one of the best and most spectacular examples of karst relief in Europe. 


It takes its name from its most common and well-known features, the torcas or dolines, small circular depressions with flat bottoms that are filled with residues that are resistant to water erosion, decalcified clay also known as terra rossa due to its red colour.
